Jewel cases are the most prevalent CD packaging on the market. They, much like DVD cases, come in a wide variety of styles.
JEWEL CASE
Shown here is the standard jewel case with a clear tray but trays are available in a huge array of colours. It holds one CD or DVD, an inlay card and a booklet of up to 24 pages.
SINGLE CASE
The single case, so named as it's the packaging of choice for CD singles. It takes just one paper part, known as a "J-card" due to its curved shape which helps it stay in place.
SLIM CASE
Similar to the Single Case but takes just a single sheet in the front of the case.
MULTI-WAY CD CASES
Known as a Brilliant Box, this example has a fold-out tray with space for two discs and is the same dimensions as a standard Jewel Case.
Here we have a 2-CD Jewel Case. It's the same dimensions as the Brilliant Box but instead of the tray folding out it opens up like a book.
This is a Multipack and can hold up to four CDs. It's just over twice as thick as a Jewel Case.
